ONEPLUS NORD BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Overview
OnePlus Nord has been launched in India and is being touted as a part of the company's “affordable smartphone product line”. The device is available in three distinct configurations, and the company claims delivers a flagship camera experience. The OnePlus Nord has a hole-punch display design and flaunts quad rear cameras same as the OnePlus 8.

In terms of optics the smartphone has a quad rear camera setup which includes a 48 MP primary sensor, a second 8 MP camera, a 5MP sensor and a fourth 2MP sensor. It also has a dual front camera 32 MP + 8 MP sensor. It is backed by a 4,115mAh battery with 30T fast charging and runs on the company’s proprietary OxygenOS based on Android 10.
OnePlus has confirmed on its FAQ page that the OnePlus Nord is getting a floating windows option in Gaming Mode. The company has stated that the floating window option will be accessed through the gaming tools box which would be an updated Game Space app. The phone has recently received a new OyxgenOS update which has brought bug fixes and system improvements to the devices. The software update, which brings OxygenOS version 10.5.5, fixes the issues that could impact system reboot and makes OnePlus Notes always run in background and improves power consumption.
Design
The phone features a 6.44-inch full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and supports features including Reading Mode, Night Mode, and Video Enhancer. It measures 158.3x73.3x8.2mm and weighs 184 grams. It is available in two colour options, Marble and Gray Onyx.
Camera
OnePlus Nord 5G packs a quad rear camera which includes a 48 MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens. The primary sensor is the same as the OnePlus 8, and it comes along with optical image stabilisation (OIS). The camera has an 8 MP secondary sensor with an f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle with a field of view (FoV) of 119 degrees. It has a 2 MP macro shooter and a 5 MP depth shooter with an f/2.4 aperture.
Performance
The OnePlus Nord runs on Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.5 OS. It Is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset with up to 12 GB of RAM. It has an octa-core (1x2.4 GHz Kryo 475 Prime & 1x2.2 GHz Kryo 475 Gold & 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 475 Silver) processor and Adreno 620 GPU.
Sensors included in the smartphone are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, a magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for additional security.
Battery and Storage
The OnePlus Nord 5G is backed by a 4,115mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology. The company claims that the phone can be charged up to 70% in just 30 minutes. OnePlus Nord 5G is available in up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage that it non-expandable.
